Westport & Nearby

Westport is the main tourist centre of Mayo, and for good reason. Visiting the West Mayo town will provide you with some of Ireland’s most beautiful scenery on you doorstep. Take on the mighty Croagh Patrick and marvel at the beauty of Clew Bay from its summit.

Or why not take a trip to Clare Island or Achill, places we highly recommend visiting. In the evening, treat yourself to a meal to remember in one of the excellent restaurants in the town, followed by a pint or 2 in Moran’s or Matt Molloy’s.

Achill Island & Mulranny

Ireland’s largest offshore island, Achill is wild and beautiful. The western end of the island is home to one of the world’s great beaches. Towering over this beautiful strand are the mighty cliffs of Croaghaun (688 m)

Take on the magnificent Atlantic Drive, one of the highlights of the Wild Atlantic Way or follow in the footsteps of the ‘Banshees of Inisherin’ with our self guided tour. When the weather is fine you’ll have 8 beaches to choose from.

Near Achill, you’ll find one of the most scenic villages on the west coast of Ireland, Mulranny. It’s home to The Greenway cycle lane, which links Westport to Achill. There are some great trails and walks in and around the village, along with 2 gorgeous beaches. A village you should not overlook!
